Verse 1

Your drink’s been sweating on the counter
Since you walked in around ten
Said you only had an hour
Now it’s pushing two A.M.
Your phone keeps lighting up behind you
You don’t even turn around
Every time you say you’re leaving
Your body says you’re staying now

Pre-Chorus

Forget the minutes
I’ll give you something else to count
Keep the lights low
I can hear it in you now

Chorus

I’ma make you lose count
Lose count
Every time you think we’re done
I’ma slow it back down
Back down
Make you start again at one
Got the whole room spinning ’round
You don’t wanna leave me now
I’ma make you lose count
Lose count

Verse 2

Your nails are keeping rhythm
Down the center of my back
Every time I change the tempo
You forget where you were at
Curtains holding back the morning
Sheets are twisted at your feet
You don’t have to tell me what you want
I can hear it when you breathe

Pre-Chorus

Forget the minutes
I’ll give you something else to count
If you lose your place, baby
We can start it over now

Chorus

I’ma make you lose count
Lose count
Every time you think we’re done
I’ma slow it back down
Back down
Make you start again at one
Got the whole room spinning ’round
You don’t wanna leave me now
I’ma make you lose count
Lose count

Bridge

Don’t tell me what number you’re on
You forgot that a while ago
You stopped using words around three
Now you’re pulling me in for more
Don’t worry ’bout what comes next
We can let the moment take control
If you lose yourself again
I’ll be right here when you let go

One for the way you pull me closer
Two for the way you grip the sheets
Three when your legs start shaking
Four when you can barely speak
Let the clock keep moving forward
We can make the whole night stretch
By the time the morning finds us
You won’t know what number’s next

Final Chorus

You already lost count
Lost count
Still you ask me for one more
Let me slow it back down
Back down
Take you right back to one
Now the sun is coming out
And you’re pulling down the shades
Baby, you already lost count
Lost count

Outro

Tell me where you left off
Tell me where you left off

Then let’s start again
